unit 5 inventory task

Red Dead Redemptions (scroll Wheel): this is a utility belt inventory, meaning that you can change your weapon through the inventory with out disturbing the action. the user interacts with this inventory by holding the left bumper button on xbox or L1 on play station then using the right analogue stick to move the red arrow to the desired type of weapon, like revolve to rifle. the inventory does suit the game play as you can be fairly quick and it is a quick paced game. this could influence my design as i would like it to be quick paced.

skyrim inventory: this is a weight based/ menu based inventory meaning it is in menu form but you can only carry up to a certain weight. you access the inventory by pressing the B/ or the circle button, it then give you four options while the play through is stopped, items, magika, map, level up, these then split up into other things like potions weapons destruction and others. the inventory does suit the game paly, as the smaller your charracter is and the less that they weigh, the more things you carry, also if you are in a hard situation and you need to equip a new weapon you can stop play to select a more powerfull weapon, or to get rid of items that you dont need if you are over encumbered. this will affect my design because of the way it stops play, i wouldt want this to be how my inventory is based.

assasains creed inventory: this is a menu inventory and is also unlimited, it is accessed by pressing select, this then brings up this menu where you can select thing like weapons that you want to use in combat with enemies.it is interacted by using the D pad on the controller. i dont think that this type of inventory does suit the game because it is unlimited you will also be able to scale buildings faster, i think that the more you have, you shouldnt be able to jump as far and you should run slower, again because this stops the gameplay, i dont think my end design will be like this, although i do like the menu for the inventory.
